Basically depression is a psychological condition in which a person experiences a sad mood and lack of interest in life and in daily activities . It creates negativity in ones life .Depression can lead to a range of behavioural and physical symptoms. People have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn't worth living. Most people with depression feel better with medication. Depression is not life long , it can be like a mood swing which flips in seconds .!!! But also immortal if not treated properly.
• CAUSESES :-
- History of depression in family
- History of other disorders (anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder)
- Stressful, events in life , (abuse, financial issues, death of a loved one)
- Hormone changes (menstrual cycles, pregnancy)
- Certain medication.
- Brain's structure. etc
- Indulging in drugs or alcohol.
• SYMPTOMS :-
- Memory difficulties or personality changes
- Physical aches or pain
- Fatigue, loss of appetite, sleep problems
- Suicidal thinking
- sadness, irritability, worry, refusing to go to school.
- Avoidance of social interaction.
- Poor performance or poor attendance at school,
- Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much.
- Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra efforts.
- Frequent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide.
• HOW TO COPE UP WITH DEPRESSION :-
1. Look for support from people who make you feel safe and cared for.
2. Try to keep up with social activities even if you don’t feel like it.
3. Join a support group for depression.
4. Talk to your friends.
5. Go out for parties.
6. Meet new peoples.
7. Aim for eight hours of sleep.
8. Practice relaxation techniques.
9. Don’t skip meals.
10. Stop thinking about negatives thoughts.
11. Do exercise .
12. Never give up.
13. Don't listen to others and be hopeless.
14. Have confidence on yourself.
15. Try not to think much.
• PRECAUTIONS :-
- Take steps to control stress.
- Reach out to family and friends, especially in times of crisis, to help you and give you emotional support.
- Get treatment at the earliest sign of a problem to help prevent depression from worsening.
- Consider getting long-term maintenance treatment .

very interesting and informative post. Yes..taking medication can be helpful for moodswings and relaxing mind. But take organic supplements for depression because it does not have side-effects.
